Sailing the Canarias / Adventure sailing
Canary Islands
Rent a boat with a skipper and first mate that take care of the boat when you relaxing and enjoy your holliday.
If you dream of sailing out on the Atlantic but haven’t managed to do it on your own or just feel ready to face a bit of the Atlantic, this is the sailing for you. These islands are truly amazing destinations. In Tenerife it is almost guaranteed that we will see whales and dolphins!
You can sail from the marina of San Miguel in the south of Tenerife (very close to the south airport) to the fantastic islands of La Gomera and La Palma. Maybe you choose to sail to El Hierro instead. Or just stay around Tennerife. The actual flight plan is posted according to prevailing weather conditions.
Anyone can sail along, regardless of experience.
The boat has a skipper and first mate.
Here is a brief description of suggested destinations.
Tenerife – Gomera – La Palma – Tenerife about 350 M in 10 days
Sailing around the Canary Islands is a mix of relaxed atmosphere, dramatic and beautiful scenery, stable winds and fantastic sailing where you are often joined by both dolphins and whales. The weather is subtropically pleasant all year round thanks to the Gulf Stream and trade winds. We will stay in the western parts and the islands we prefer to sail around are La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro with Tenerife as our base. El Hierro is a little further away so there will be extra sailing if we choose to go there. Most often it is Tenerife, La Gomera and La Palma that we visit. Depending on the weather, we berth in guest harbors or drift in a bay. We stop at each island to explore it: You can rent a car, take a bus, hike, sunbathe and swim, dive with a local diving center or just enjoy and relax.
